YEWA SOUTH LG BOSS LAYS FOUNDATION OF A BLOCK OF TWO CLASSROOMS, VOWS SUSTAINED EDUCATION REVOLUTION

In a significant boost to basic education infrastructure, the Chairman of Yewa South Local Government, Barrister Abraham Babatunde Ogunsola, has laid the foundation stone of a modern block of two classrooms at OLG Primary School Eleja, Ilaro ,Ward 2.

The groundbreaking ceremony, which drew a large crowd of community leaders, parents and political stakeholders, underscores the administration’s determination to tackle learning infrastructure deficits head-on and provide a conducive environment for pupils in the local government area.

Speaking at the event, Chairman Ogunsola described education as the bedrock of national development and the most potent tool for grooming future leaders. 

“Proper education and training remain critical to the growth of any nation,” he declared, adding that his administration will continue to prioritise the sector with visible and impactful projects.

The Chairman assured residents that the new block of two classrooms  is just the beginning of a series of developmental interventions planned for the education sector across Yewa South. 

He, however, appealed to the community and school management to take ownership of the facility upon completion, urging them to protect and maintain it for the benefit of current and future generations of learners.

This latest initiative reflects the Chairman’s broader vision of transforming Yewa South into an education-friendly local government where every child has access to quality learning facilities. 

It is expected to significantly reduce the current pressure on existing classrooms and create a more conducive atmosphere for effective teaching and learning.

The ceremony was graced by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Bankole Sherrif; the Councillor representing Ilaro Ward 2 Hon. Kafayat Adeyinka; as well as other prominent community leaders and political functionaries.

The project is expected to ease congestion in the existing classrooms and provide a more comfortable learning atmosphere for pupils at OLG Primary School Eleja.
