The Executive Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government, Honourable Adesina Sikiru Adisa, has extended warmest greetings and heartfelt felicitations to all Christians in Ewekoro Local Government, Ogun State, and indeed across Nigeria , on the solemn and joyous occasion of Good Friday, Easter Sunday, and Easter Monday.
In a special Easter message, Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa described the Easter season as a profound period of reflection, sacrifice, hope, and renewal.
He noted that the crucifixion of Jesus Christ on Good Friday and His glorious resurrection on Easter Sunday symbolise the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, and life over death, offering timeless lessons of love, forgiveness, and redemption for humanity.
“On this sacred Good Friday, we remember the ultimate sacrifice of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. As we celebrate His resurrection on Easter Sunday and enjoy the public holiday on Easter Monday, I urge every resident of Ewekoro Local Government to embrace the spirit of Easter by showing love, compassion, and unity to one another,” the Chairman said.
This Easter period provides a unique opportunity for residents to reflect on the values of resilience and communal harmony that have continued to strengthen the social fabric of Ewekoro Local Government.
Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa emphasised that the lessons from Easter should inspire collective efforts towards building a more peaceful and progressive community, where every ward benefits from equitable development initiatives.
He further called on Christians and all residents to use the festive period for family bonding, spiritual renewal, and community service, while urging them to observe all necessary safety protocols during travels and celebrations.
