The Executive Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government, Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa, has paid glowing tribute to the Executive Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun, CON, following the presentation of brand-new Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to the twenty Local Government Council Chairmen in the state.
Hon. Adesina described the gesture as a landmark intervention that further reinforces Governor Abiodun’s commitment to strengthening governance at the grassroots.
According to him, the presentation reflects a leadership philosophy that recognizes local governments as the foundation upon which sustainable development is built.
Speaking further , the Ewekoro council boss noted that the vehicles are not mere symbols of status, but critical tools that will enhance efficiency, accessibility, and responsiveness in service delivery across the local councils.
“This is a practical investment in governance, not luxury,” he stated.
He emphasized that the initiative aligns seamlessly with the Governor’s “Building Our Future Together” agenda, noting that effective grassroots administration requires mobility and the ability to reach every ward, community, and settlement without hindrance. “No village is too remote, and no citizen is beyond the reach of responsible governance,” Hon. Adesina affirmed.
The Chairman praised Governor Abiodun’s leadership style, describing him as a compassionate mentor and a strategic administrator who empowers his lieutenants to succeed.
“His Excellency has once again demonstrated why he is fondly regarded as a kind-hearted leader with an uncommon sense of duty to the people,” he added.
According to Hon. Adesina, the presentation of the SUVs serves as both motivation and responsibility for the council chairmen to intensify their commitment to grassroots development.
He assured residents of Ewekoro Local Government that the administration would maximally deploy the new resource to accelerate service delivery and community engagement.
“This gesture challenges us to do more, to go further, and to deliver tangible dividends of democracy to our people,” he said, reaffirming the collective resolve of the chairmen to justify the confidence reposed in them by the Governor.
Hon. Adesina concluded by offering prayers for Governor Abiodun, asking God to grant him continued wisdom, strength, and grace to steer Ogun State toward greater progress. He described the Governor as a true architect of modern Ogun State whose legacy of empowerment will endure across generations.
