In a powerful display of compassion and humanity, the Golden Heartfelt Foundation on Saturday, December 27, 2025, transformed sorrow into smiles for widows and widowers in Abule-Ake, Obada Oko community, Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State, as it carried out its annual Christmas outreach.
What began as another festive season of quiet struggle for many turned into a moment of relief, joy and renewed hope as the Foundation reached out to some of the most vulnerable members of the community, distributing food items and carefully packaged gifts to widows and widowers battling the harsh realities of life.
Leading the outreach, the President of the Foundation, Engr. Olufemi Olumide Oni, said the initiative was born out of a deep belief that the true meaning of Christmas lies in love, sharing and sacrifice.
“Christmas should not be a season of pain or neglect for anyone. We believe every human being deserves to feel love and joy, regardless of their circumstances. Today, we are here in Abule-Ake to put smiles on faces and restore hope where it is fading,” Oni declared.
The outreach event, held at the residence of the community leader, became a scene of emotional connection as twenty beneficiaries received special Christmas treats designed to ease their burdens and remind them that they are not forgotten.
Welcoming the Foundation, the Baale of Abule-Ake, Chief (Engr.) Samuel Oguntoyinbo, praised the organisation for its rare act of kindness, describing the intervention as timely and life-touching.
“What the Golden Heartfelt Foundation has done today goes beyond gifts. You have brought hope, dignity and reassurance to widows and widowers in our community. These gestures will leave lasting impacts in their lives,” the Baale said.
Speaking with visible emotion on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Folasade Sodiya said the outreach had deeply touched many hearts, adding that it reaffirmed the worth and value of Abule-Ake community.
Another beneficiary, Pastor Dayo, also expressed heartfelt appreciation, noting that the programme reflected the true power of community and compassion.
“This is a reminder that love still exists. The time, effort and kindness shown by the Golden Heartfelt Foundation will never be forgotten. Thank you for standing with the widows and widowers of Abule-Ake,” he said.
