Nathaniel Sodipo Foundation Presents Scholarship To 22 Deserving Students Of Tertiary Institutions In Nigeria

The newly registered Nathaniel Sodipo Foundation (NSF) has awarded Scholarships to about 22 Ewekoro Local Government indigenous Students in the Public Tertiary Institutions across the Country today. The programme which is the maiden edition of the foundation was held at the Grace Villa in Itori Town to commemorate the birthday of the founder, Engr. Nathaniel Adewole Sodipo, the Chief Executive Officer, Lord'smint Technology Nigeria Limited, Itori.
The Celebrant, Engr. Sodipo used the medium to appreciate everyone that took it upon themselves to honour their invitation particularly, HRM. Oba Dr. AbdulFatai Akorede Ayinde Akamo, the Olunla of Itori- Egbaland, Olu of Aga- Olowo, HRM Oba Kayode Kusoro, as well as other notable personalities that graced the epoch making event despite the short notice.

He stressed that, the formation and registration of the foundation will give room for programmes and projects that will make lives more bearable for the people particularly the less privileged ones. 
Welcoming the Guests into the occasion, the General Manager, Lord'smint Technology Nigeria Limited, Itori Engr. Odunayo Sodipo thanked everyone for coming while he added that, the Company supported the project because of the genuineness in the whole process noting that they will still continue to be partnering programmes and projects of the foundation which can only impact on the lives of the people mostly the downtrodden like this ones because they're the futures of tomorrow and as such they must be supported while this gesture will be part of the Company's Community Social Responsibility (CSR). 

He stressed further that the foundation before now has been actively participating in social welfare activities, providing assistance to those in need and showcasing the warmth and care of the teeming populace. This singular effort makes us not just strive for successes, but also a positive and uplifting family.
Speaking earlier, the Chief Executive Officer, Sodipo Medical Centre, Itori Dr. Babatunde Sodipo gave the reasons for organising event like this which includes but is not limited to celebrating humanity, celebrating the founder of the foundation's birthday and awarding Scholarships to 22 Students of Tertiary Institutions that cut across the Ten Wards of Ewekoro Local Government amongst others and that they are going to be receiving this kind gesture althrough their programmes in School while another set will be included next year. He reiterated that, the foundation will now keep eyes on their activities in the schools till the end of their respective studies and efforts are on to get a befitting office for the Foundation.

The Olu of Itori- Egbaland, HRM Oba AbdulFatai Akorede Akamo congratulated all the 22 successful Candidates and their parents for making it into this maiden edition and urged them to face their studies, and be good ambassadors of Ewekoro Local Government in their various institutions, shun social vises of any kind as that's the only things that can give them rest of mind in their quest to become somebody to be reckoned with afterwards.  

Oba Akamo also felicitated with Uncle Nath on his birthday on a special day like this being the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ (Christmas Day) while praying for him to live long so that he can continually eat the fruit of his labour. 

He commended the efforts of Uncle Nath so far towards putting foods on the table of the majority of the youths through provision of jobs and then sought for more philanthropic gestures of this nature from other Sons and Daughters of Itori Egbaland.

The Olu of Aga Olowo, HRM Oba Olukayode Kusoro in his good will message, congratulated the Celebrant for another celebration of his birthday as well as his empowerment scheme for the youths which will definitely go a long way at alleviating the suffering of the parents in so many areas and a step in a good direction. He also congratulated the successful Students and encouraged those that couldn't make the Scholarships list this year to be more focused, determined and studied well as they too can benefit in the nearest future. He stressed that, the foundation has come to stay in the name of Jesus Christ.  
The high point of the epoch making event was the official presentation of the dummy cheques to all the successful Beneficiaries by the Celebrant, his better half Chief Mrs. Sodipo Bolanle Maria, Dr. Babatunde Sodipo, Engr. Sodipo Odunayo and Chief Abiodun Adenmosun in that order.
