CRESTFIELD COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES AND MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGY, ABIGI MATRICULATES 34 STUDENTS

The Management of Crestfield College of Health Sciences and Management Technology, Erin Osun in Osun State has matriculated Students from Ogun Waterside Local Government, Abigi Study centre recently. The programme which is the maiden edition of the campus was held at the Old Local Government Secretariat, Abigi. 
The Director of the institution Dr. Christiana Alagbe who represented the Rector while declaring the program open congratulated the matriculating Students and enjoined them to be responsible, responsive,  committed and make the school proud in every where they find themselves and that they should abide by the rules and regulations guiding the institution and face their studies. 


She used the medium to appreciate everyone particularly the Commissioner IV in the Ogun Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Chief Rufai AbdulRasaq Olatunde who had been supportive even before the commencement of the program here, the Ojotumoro of Abibi, HRM Olusegun Oladipupo Ogunye, Hon. Lawal Samsideen Adekunle (Lawee), member representing Ogun Waterside Local Government at Ogun State House of Assembly, a renowned Educationist, Dr. Adesina Adekumisi and his amiable wife and Iyalode of Abigi, Chief Mrs. Aderonke Adekumisi, Alhaja Chief Risikat Shittu who was honoured as the Otunba Bobatolu of Abigi by the Kabiyesi having noticed her contributions on the school and many more too numerous to mention for their support and cooperation towards achieving this feat today. 

Dr. Alagbe then sought for more cooperation and support for the institution from the good people of the Local Government. She mentioned that admission into various courses is ongoing for the 2024/2025 Academic Session.

According to the Director of the Institution, the school is currently running more than 10 accredited courses in health sciences namely,  Environmental Health, Health Information Management, Public Health, Epidemiology, and Disease Control, Health Assistant Medical, Health Technician among others.

Speaking earlier, the representative of Hon. Lawal Samsideen Adekunle, member of Ogun House of Assembly, Hon. Owoseni Ekundayo, appreciated the School management for deeming it fit to have a study centre in Ogun Waterside Local Government and encouraged the management to establish an institution in Ogun Waterside while  awarding Scholarships to deserving 35 indigent Students.
Hon. Rufai Olatunde AbdulRasaq, the Commissioner IV in the Ogun Local Government Service Commission who facilitated the programme into the Council Area appreciated the School Management and extended the appreciation also to His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON, the Ogun State Governor for his unrelented efforts towards taking the State to an enviable height through various developmental projects that springs across the length and breath of the State. 
The Ojotumoro of Abigi, HRM Oba Olusegun Oladipupo Ogunye in his message, congratulated the School Management for achieving this milestone in the history of the Council area as he also used the medium to enjoin all the matriculating Students most importantly those that couldn't make the Scholarships list now to be more focused, determined and studied well as they too can benefit in the nearest future. He stressed that, the school has come to stay in the council area. 

Another very important personality that delivered her goodwill message was the Iyalode of Abigi, Chief Mrs. Aderonke Adekumisi who encouraged the students to exhibit good characters as they were taught from their various homes and that they should be resilient in their seeking for knowledge while reminding them that there is no knowledge lost in life. 

The high point of the epoch making event was the oath taken by the Students as well as their official presentation to the Director, Dr. Alagbe by the Registrar of the institution, Pastor O. E Oseni 

Other dignitaries at the occasion include; Mr. Akinbolujo J. Head of Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) Department, Mr. Osho, Head of Health Information Management Department, Mr. Ayebusiwa, Head of Environmental Health Department, other members of Staff, a renowned Educationist, Dr. Adesina Adekumisi, Jagunmolu Wale Akodu representing APC Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. Adetoye Ganiyu Odunoiki, Comr. Olanrewaju Daud Martins, Director, Information, Education and Sports Department, as well as his counterpart in the Community Development Department, Mrs. Temitope Shoda, Representative of Osobia of Makun, Comr. Idowu Asoro, Religious Leaders, Iyaloja General Chief Mrs. Falilat Saibu and the Babaloja General, Chief Mohammed Bello, CSP Ogundele Joseph, the Divisional Police Officer, Ogun Waterside Local Government amongst many more.
