As part of the efforts to improve service delivery and efficiency at work, the management of Abeokuta North Local Government has organised a--day workshop for selected staffs amongst senior and junior cadre which cut across the eight departments in the Local government Service.
In his key note address at the workshop, held at the Legislative chamber, in the council seceteriat, Akomoje, the Head Of Local Government Administration, and the best Administrator in the recently concluded 2024 Local Government Service Week, organised by the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Junaid Babatunde Wasiu, FCA, appreciated the Ogun State Governor,His Excellency ,Prine Dapo Abiodun, CON, for the show of love towards Ogun State workers in general, his developmental projects across the state and for providing the avenue to showcase their talents.
Alhaji Junaid, equally thanked the Chairman, Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, Ms.Olivia Olubukunola Onabanjo for her leadership role, adding that without the commission, this kind of programme cannot be achieved.
The astute administrator, further charged the participants to make good use of the knowledge acquired during the training and be diligent in the service delivery.
His words, "In my own theory" you learn till you die and no knowledge is lost", he added.
Meanwhile, the two resource persons who were carefully selected included Barrister Abiodun Edun, Director General Services and Administration whose lecture centered on staff Ethics and staff Regulations while Alhaja Zainab Faleye, the internal Auditor and the best Internal audit compliance personnel, year 2024 rounded the workshop off with lecture on financial memoranda.
While giving the vote of thanks, Mr Sunday Fakorede on behalf of other participants, thanked the HOLGA and the management team for the opportunity given to be part of the selected few.
He further appreciated the resource persons for the knowledge and skills impacted on them in the course of the training , while wishing them success in their endeavours.
On behalf of the HOLGA, Barrister Abiodun Edun declared the workshop closed by congratulating the participants, as well enjoined the participants to apply all they had learnt in their day to day activities at their various duty posts.
Present at the workshop were; Head of Local Government Administration, Alhaji Junaid Babatunde Wasiu, FCA, Director General Service and Administration, Barr.Abiodun Edun, Director planning, Research and statistics, Mr Babatunde Oguntoyinbo, Director Agric and Natural Resources, Mr Oyebade Yinka, Clerk of the House, Mr Faremi Niyi Olusola.
Others were; Alhaja Zainab Faleye, internal Auditor, Mrs M.O.S.Folorunso, Senior Administrative officer and participants from all the departments.
