NERVOUS MANCHESTER UNITED BEATS FULHAM 1-0 IN EPL SEASON OPENER AS ZIRKZEE'S DEBUT GOAL EARNS RED DEVILS MAXIMUM POINTS

As the new season got underway, the nervy Manchester United started the season opening match against Fulham with a one nill victory at Old Trafford.
Though, Erik Ten Hag men started the game sluggishly but surprisingly allowing the  visitors to dominate proceedings in the opening minutes.

Thanks to Andre Onana's agility with a spectacular save from Tete's shot to save United fans from the blush.

Thereafter, it was the Red devils all the way with Fulham shot stopper, Bernd Leno making daring saves .
Manchester lost two golden opportunities via Bruno Fernandes who was deployed to operate in an unfamiliar position as a striker for the better part of the game.

In the second half, Manchester United continued their domination but squandered so many scoring chances with Mason Mount being the prime culprit.
However, as if the game was destined to end in a barren draw, the introduction of the new signing, the former Bologna striker, Joshua Zirkzee came off the bench to break the deadlock with three minutes left as he deftly slotted the ball  into the net after being set up by Alejandro Garnacho to send United fans into wild jubilation, thereby , giving his team the three valuable points from the outset with debut goal as United player.

The new United signings, Noussaiur Magraoui , Matthijs de ligt and Joshua Zirkzee made their debut and gave good account of themselves in the encounter
