OGUNYEWO, ACTING HOLGA, EWEKORO LOCAL GOVERNMENT, APPLAUDS STAFFERS OF THE COUNCIL, URGES THEM TO KEEP THE MOMENTUM

.......Says Ewekoro Local Government is in the good book of the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, Ministries and other Agencies in terms of excellent service delivery.

The Acting Head Of Local Government Administration, Ewekoro Local Government, Mrs Ogunyewo Kemi has applauded members of staff of the council for their commitment and diligence to work while urging them to sustain the tempo in order for the Loca Government to remain one of the best Loca Governments in Ogun State.

Mrs Ogunyewo gave the applause during the maiden meeting with the members of staff in her capacity as the Acting Head Of Local Government Administration.

The astute administrator, admitted that things are really difficult but urged them to endure as government is doing everything possible to ameliorate the suffering of the masses with the assurance that things will be better, saying," there will be  light behind the tunnel as soon as we have faith in God ."

Mrs Ogunyewo, therefore, emphasized the need to work hard, exhibit professionalism as Ewekoro Local Government has a name to protect, adding, " We have always been in the good book of the Local Government Service Commission. I can say it with all boldness that Ewekoro Local Government is cool and calm ."

" So let's keep the momentum and don't relent. I am demanding more from you, even, now that we don't have substantive HOLGA and political functionaries in place,"-- she stated.

" A tree can not make a forest, it has to be a collaborative effort of all , from the highest ranking to the least officers.I am therefore urging all of us to continue to work together so that we can achieve greater things toward a common goal."

She use the medium to hint members of the staff on the 2024 Local Government Service Week / Gala Night.

According to her, the 2-day programmes would kickstart on Wednesday,2nd of October, 2024 with the public lecture at Oba's Complex , Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Oke-Mosan, from 10am to 12 noon.

Same day, from 2 pm to 6pm , concurrently at Local Government Service Commission, cultural evening with cultural troupe display from the four zones of the State (RIYE) and indoor games will take the center stage.

The event will be rounded off on Thursday, 3rd of October, 2024 with Red Carpet and Award Of Excellence / Gala Night.

Fielding questions from members of staff on some germane issues that need to be addressed ranging from disturbance allowance to transportation challenges at this crucial period amidst fuel scarcity, the Acting Head Of Local Government Administration, assured that the management would look at the modality of  paying bit by bit but this would hinge on the availability of fund while promising that the issue of transportation would be sorted out after a meeting with the NULGE EXCO to see how workable it will be to convey staffs from Abeokuta to alleviate the transportation problem but the issue of fuel and the amount to be paid as fare will be pivotal in the final decision as the council does not have the financial muscle to subsidize  the fare.

In his vote of thanks, the Secretary, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) , Ewekoro Local Government Chapter, Comrade Agbeniga Akeem Tunde , appreciated the Acting Head Of Local Government Administration, Mrs Ogunyewo Kemi for her style of leadership and managerial acumen.

Comrade Agbeniga, also commended Director/Head Of various departments for their show of love and exemplary leadership quality while urging members of staff to reciprocate the good gesture being extended to them by the management with a top notch service for the betterment of Ewekoro Local Government.
