.......As Prince Ayorinde honours the celebrant with an appointment as the Senior Consultant to the Chairman on General Matters.

There is  time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heaven. This statement aptly describe the twin celebration in the life of Mrs Grace Oludayo Bosede Bankole, the Head Of Local Government Administration, Abeokuta North Local Government who graciously bowed out of the Ogun State Local Government Service , after thirty-five years of meritorious service which also coincided with her 60th birthday celebration.
The colourful event, put together by colleagues, friends and close associates, to celebrate the significant milestone in the life of the seasoned accountant and astute administrator, commenced with prayer sessions , conducted by both christian and muslim clerics.
Speaking at the ceremony, held at the Olumo Multipurpose Hall, Abeokuta North Local Government Secretariat, Akomoje on Thursday, 4th of April, 2024, the Chairman, Abeokuta North Local Government, Prince Adebayo Abdulsalam Ayorinde, described the celebrant as a loving Mother and a peacemaker who always seek for the progress and unity amongst both political and career functionaries .

Prince Ayorinde further stated that (Mrs)Bankole has shown and exhibited to be a wonderful Administrator by supporting developmental projects within and outside the Secetariat. 
"Due to her doggedness, expertise and principle stance that 
something has to be done which had in no small measure be of great assistance in the achievements recorded so far by  the present administration.So as a result of that, we give her the credit on the developmental projects put in place by our administration."-- the Chairman added.

As part of the programmes to commemorate the event , the Executive Chairman with the consent of the members of the legislative council and the executive arm, announced the  appointment of the retiring HOLGA, Mrs Grace Oludayo Bosede Bankole as the Senior Consultant to the Chairman on General Matters in Abeokuta North Local Government after seeking permission from the husband of the celebrant, Hon Bankole David .
Also, as part of the event was the foundation laying of the Modern Office Complex for the political functionaries as mark of honour for the celebrant 
 Corroborating the chairman , the Vice Chairman, Hon. Ayoola Oluajo, Secretary to the Local Government, Hon.Kabiru Odusiji, Deputy Leader, Hon.Adebari Adekunle and the Majority Leader, Hon.Makanjuola Tunde Saliu, all admitted that (Mrs)Bankole has demonstrated to be mother to them, not like a typical civil servant by standing with them even in turbulent periods, maintaining relative peace as well as supporting all the projects embarked on by the present Administration.

  Part of the projects which included rehabilitation of both Olumo multi-purpose Hall, the Legislative block,  and many others.
 In his good will message , His Royal Majesty Oba (Prof.) Saka Adelola Matemilola, FNSE,Oluyalo Otileta VII, the paramount ruler of Owu Kingdom, ably represented by chief Abiodun Lasile, the Oruntobaalufe of Owu Kingdom said, the Celebrant (Mrs)Bankole Oludayo is Precious to him, but due to the fasting period together with his tight schedule in the Palace, he could not attend the event.

He, however, appreciated Prince Ayorinde for the appointment of the Celebrant as the Council's Senior Consultant on general matters in order not to be idle after retirement. 

The monarch,therefore,  advised the Celebrant that despite moving to another Status of life, she must continue to increase in all ramifications. 
In his own remarks, the Chairman of the day, Chief  Olawale Bankole, enjoined the celebrant not to relent in her day to day activities but rather see the retirement as an eye opener to new innovations.

  Responding, the celebrant (Mrs)Bankole Oludayo appreciated everyone, particularly , Prince Ayorinde Led Administration for  the opportunity to work with them and for the moral and financial contribution towards the successful hosting of the epic event.
 Thereafter, she performed the formal hand over and pen down exercise conducted by the Director General Services and Administration, Barr.Abiodun Edun. 

 In the attendance at the occasion were, the Vice Chairman, Hon.Ayoola Oluajo, Secretary to the Local Government, Hon.Kabiru Odusiji, Deputy Leader of the Legislative council, Hon.Adekunle Adebari, members of the Legislative council, Directors/Heads of Department, and members of Staff of Abeokuta North Local Government and other Local Governments
Also at the event were, Deacon Bankole David, Husband of the Celebrant and the children, serving and retired HOLGAs representatives of the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission led by the permanent secretary, Dr Adeolu Olufowobi, Mr Babatunde Owolabi,, Director Management Services, Mrs Taiwo Akintomide, Director, Manpower, Development &Training, Mr Yemi Adeyanju,Director promotion, posting and transfer, Hon. Adijat Adeleye, Commissioner for Women Affairs& social development, Hon.Omolaja Majekodunmi, Chairman, Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon (Mrs) Kikelomo Delano, Chairman Ifo Local Government, Hon.Ogunyomi Gabriel Oluwole, Chairman Yewa North Local Government, Hon. Olusegun Onilude, Chairman, Badagry Local Government and his entourage.
 Other dignitaries included, Comrade, Akeem Ambali, National President,Nigeria Union Of Local Government Employees, Comrade,Adefesobi Adebayo, State President NULGE, Chief Samuel Eweje, bale oke-yanrin, lgan Alade,Chief Lasilo l.K, baale lasilo, lgan Alade, Hon.Rasaq Oduntan, former Ogun State house of Assembly Member,
 Retired Permanent Secretaries and top notch civil servants in Ogun State were not left out of the magnificent event.
