ANLG: ALHAJI JUNAID, THE NEWLY POSTED HOLGA, CHARGES STAFFERS ON PUNCTUALITY AND EFFICIENCY


.....Promises better welfare package while imploring members of staff to work together as one big family.

The newly posted Head Of Local Government Administration, Abeokuta North Local Government, Alhaji Junaid Wasiu Babatunde, FCA, has charged members of the council to be punctual at their duty posts while also promising them a better welfare package.
Alhaji Junaid gave the charge during the maiden meeting with the general staff, held at the Olumo multi-purpose hall, in the Council Secretariat, Akomoje, on Tuesday, 23rd, April, 2024.
The seasoned administrator cum financial expert described the meeting as a family affair, stating that he resumed to work in love and unity as he declared the door of his office open for deliberation in case of any lingering issues relating to staff matters, saying,"with God all things are Possible. "
Alhaji Junaid spoke further, "I am gentle, simple and easy going, but principled, that is my own. I allowed people around me and love to appreciate people, your HODs have given a lot of good report about you, so let us live in peace and keep it up in order to move this Local Government to  greater heights". 

He also tasked staffers on punctuality , stressing that  the state Government has given a day palliative rest to every worker, excluding, Monday.

Adding, that whoever that will  not be available in office with cogent reason, must carry his or her boss along to avoid unnecessary punitive measure.

The  Head Of Local Government Administration, made the disclosure  
 that the primary Health care Centres still belong to the Local Government, but there is an arrangement with health authority in the state, imploring  everyone to work assiduously and  efficiently as one  big family, because the Council is responsible for their Salaries. 
Also, reacting to the request of staff members , he assured them that everything in his capacity will be done to bring smile into their faces while urging them to continue praying for the management for the turn around of things for the better .

 Mrs Amos Titilayo during the question and answer, showered encomium on the management for the provision of borehole inside the Council Secretariat which has brought great relief to members of staff after over a decade .      
Expressing her gratitude, the Chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress, Abeokuta North Local Government Chapter, Comrade Oreoluwa Adekunle appreciated the chairman, Abeokuta North Local Government, Prince Adebayo Abdulsalam Ayorinde for the developmental projects embarked on during his led administration.
She, equally appreciated the newly posted HOLGA,Alhaji Junaid Wasiu Babatunde, FCA, for the prompt attention given to the needs of NLC despite his first week of resumption in office .

Comrade Oreoluwa  seized the opportunity to plead for the Construction of toilets  inside the Council Secretariat. 
Responding to the request of the NLC Chairman, the Head of Works and Housing department, Engr.Junaid Saheed (MNSE) gave the assurance that proposal will be made and submitted to the management in order to fix water into the available toilets. 

He also assured many that paid for the Local Government land at Obasa Area to be rest assured that surveyors are working tirelessly on it and should be ready latest next week. 
 In his own contribution,the  Chairman, Nigeria Union Of Local Government Employees, (NULGE) Abeokuta North Local Government, Comrade Olawale Okanlawon, ably represented by Comrade Abiodun Karunwi, appreciated the HOLGA for the privilege given to staff to express themselves and for the fatherly role exhibited  since his assumption of office.
 
  Present at the meeting were;The Head of Local Government Administration, Alhaji Junaid Wasiu Babatunde, FCA, Director, General Services and Administration, Bar.Abiodun Edun, Director water supply and Environmental sanitation, Mrs.O.O.Adedokun, Director, Budget,Planning,Research and Statistics, Mr Babatunde Oguntoyinbo, Director, Information, Education and Sports, Mrs Olalekan Olasunkanmi. 

Others were; Mrs Ronke Adekunle, Director Community Development and Social Welfare, Engr.Junaid Saheed (MNSE) Director Works and Housing, Director for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Mr Oyebade Yinka Michael, Ag.Director of Finance and Supply, Hadjia Monsurat Toriola, Mrs Ogunba Oluwatosin, Ag.Internal Auditor, Assistant Directors, NULGE Representatives and other members of staff within and outside the Secretariat.
