ANLG:PRINCE AYORINDE PRSENTS YEAR 2024 BUDGET TO THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL FOR THE APPROVAL

The executive chairman, Abeokuta North Local Government, Prince Adebayo Abdulsalam Ayorinde has assured the people of the council area of setting a benchmark for better performance on an irreversable Journey to take the Local Government to greater height, despite the challenges being faced over the previous years and the impact of the global pandemic with the tremendous effect on economies around the world.
The council boss gave the assurance while presenting year 2024 appropriation budget christined "BUDGET FOR COLLECTIVE ACCOUNTABILITY "for consideration and approval to the Legislative council, held at the Legislative chamber, council secretariat , Akomoje.
Prince Ayorinde explained further that, the "budget for collective accountability" is to consolidate on year 2023 budget with strong determination to work more assiduously to deliver the dividends of democracy to the good people of Abeokuta North Local Government, adding, "We will prioritize affordable housing schemes,poverty alleviation programmes and initiative to empower.
He stressed that his administration goal is to ensure that people within the Local Government have equal access to basic necessities and the chance to live a dignified life.
The council boss, therefore, proposed a budget size of Five Billion, and Sixty-Six million, one hundred and Twenty-two thousand, and sixty-three Naira and Twenty-Nine kobo (N5,066,122,063.29K) to commence new projects and fastrack the completion of all ongoing projects.
Prince Ayorinde however, emphasized that his administration would strive hard to ensure that the lives of the entire citizenry of the council area are improved upon while appealing to the people to pay their taxes and Levies due to the Local Government to carry out the enormous task ahead.
The chairman, took time to appreciate the Governor of Ogun State, His Exellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for giving him the opportunity to serve his people at the third tier of government.
In his acceptance speech, the Leader of the Legislative council, Hon.Sanni Sikiru Tunde assured the Executive chairman that the budget proposal would not be treated as a mere financial document, but a reflection of the collective resolve to address the most critical needs of the people at the grassroots.
The Leader, therefore, gave the assurance of the 9th Legislative council to work with the Executive chairman and members of his team to record significant achievement, " for our dear Local Government and by extension, ogun state as a whole."
In his vote of thanks,the Deputy leader,Hon.Adebari Adekunle appreciated the council boss,Prince Adebayo Ayorinde for his clear demonstration of commitment in ensuring there is significant development in the Local Government Area during the tenure of the present Administration.
He also expressed gratitude to the executive members and career officers for their input in the success story of Prince Ayorinde led Administration.
In attendance were;the Vice Chairman. Hon.Ayoola oluajo, Secretary to the Local Government, Hon.Kabiru Odusiji, Supervisor for works, Hon.Kabiru Ayoola, all members of the Legislative arm amongst other political functionaries.
Others were;Head of Local Government Administration, Mrs G.O.B.Bankole, Director/ Head of various departments as well as other principal officers in the Local Government.
