GOV. ABIODUN APPOINTS ICAN ABEOKUTA AND DISTRICT SOCIETY CHAIRMAN, JUNAID AS HOLGA

The Executive Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON,  has approved the appointment of Alhaji Wasiu Babatunde Junaid, FCA as Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA) HAPSS 17 with effect from 21st March, 2024. 

The appointment is in accordance with the provisions of the Approved Scheme of Service for Local Government Employees in Nigeria, Fourth Revised Edition (2006).

While presenting the letter of appointment to Alhaji Junaid and other appointees, at the Conference room of the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, the Chairman, Barr. Olubukunola Onabanjo charged the appointees to be upright, diligent and firm in discharging their duties.

Alhaji Junaid holds a B.Sc( Hons ) Economics, from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State In 1989, a Post Graduate Diploma in Local Government Administration from the same institution in 2019. 

The seasoned accountant is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, FCA. 

Until his appointment, Alhaji Wasiu Babatunde Junaid, FCA, was the Director of Finance and Supply, Ifo Local Government, Ogun State and has served in this capacity at several Local Governments in the State. 

He is also the current Chairman, Institute of Chattered Accountants of Nigeria, ICAN Abeokuta and District Society. 

Alhaji Junaid, no doubt, will definitely bring into play his wealth of experience, having served at various managerial positions within and outside the Local Government System which will be instrumental in the discharge of his duties as well as ensuring efficient delivery of services to the people of Ogun State.
