Ewekoro Local Government Holds 2024 Budget Retreat

....... Hon Adesina christens 2024 Budget  as " Budget Of Continuity"

In accordance with the constitution, the Executive Chairman, Supervisors of various departments, Head Of Local Government Administration and Directors /Heads of departments engaged in a thorough 2024 Budget deliberation at the council's conference room in the Secretarial, Itori while carrying out the functional and key allocation of funds to the proposed 2024 Budget.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa, expressed his deepest appreciation to the Almighty God for sparing the lives of both career and political functionaries of the Local Government.

Hon Adesina commended the Head of Local Government Administration of Ewekoro Local Government, Engineer Ayoade A. A. and Directors as well as other members of staff for their diligence, commitment and unwavering support for his administration all the while which in no small measures had contributed immensely to the laudable achievements of the present administration.

Commending the political class of the Local Government, the Executive Chairman acknowledged their unflinching support and cooperation as an impetus to the success of the administration so far.

The Local Government boss charged officers, especially the career ones to work harder , more than before in the council's bid to increase the Internally Generated Revenue in order to have a realistic 2024 Budget that will allow the government to meet the yearning of the people of Ewekoro Local Government, adding, " Without good revenue, nothing can be achieved, so all hands must be on deck to increase our Internally Generated Revenue without over reliance on the federal Government allocation." - - - - the Chairman stressed.

Hon Adesina used the occasion to appreciate the Ogun State Governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for his massive support and fund intervention which had largely been responsible for the delivery of dividends of democracy to the people at the grassroots.

In the same vein, the Supervisor for Budget, Planning, Research and Statistics, Hon Olusegun Akanni, thanked God for the sustainability of both career and political functionaries.

Hon Akanni, equally commended the Executive Chairman, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa, for his love and all inclusive style of governance of his administration, while praying and wishing everyone a prosperous 2024.

Speaking earlier, the Director of Budget, Research and Statistics, Mrs Kehinde Adejoke Odunfa appreciated the Executive Chairman for his support at all times and not forgetting the fatherly role of the Head Of Local Government Administration, Engineer Ayoade A. A. as well as other Directors for their cooperation.

Mrs Odunfa, stressed that there could never be a better opportunity rather than during the Budget deliberation for the departmental heads to make adjustments or ammendments for the Chairman's approval to reflect on the expenditure policy priorities of the government.

The Directors/ Heads of various departments were on ground to stoutly defend allocation of good fund appropriation that will be designated for the expenditures of the various departments in 2024 Budget.
