The council chairman described the establishment of the facility as more than a recreational project, noting that it represents an investment in the health, wellbeing and productivity of the people.
“Establishing a modern fitness centre in our community is not only about recreation and physical exercise; it is also an investment in the health, well-being and productivity of our people.

“As a Local Government, we are committed to supporting initiatives that promote healthy living, youth engagement, employment opportunities and community development.”

He urged residents, particularly youths, to take advantage of the facility by making fitness, sports and healthy living an integral part of their daily lives.

He also assured the management of the council's support and wished the facility sustainable growth and success.
In the same vein, the Olu of Itori, Oba (Dr.) Abdulfatai Akorede Akamo, described Prime Turf Gym and Fitness as a first-of-its-kind facility in the history of Ewekoro Local Government.

The monarch, speaking on behalf of the Council of Obas in Ewekoro Local Government, announced a donation of ₦500,000 as support to the management of Prime Turf Gym and Fitness.

“We need to encourage the management. We will do everything possible to make sure this place is maintained and beehive of activities. In fact, I will be coming to watch matches whenever there are games and cheer the teams.”
Earlier, the Managing Director of Prime Turf Gym and Fitness, Engineer Adeleke David, expressed gratitude to God for making the project a reality.

He particularly appreciated Oba Umaru Olatunji Hamzat, the Olu of Afowowa Sogade, for providing the opportunity and enabling the company to establish the facility in his domain.

According to him, the project represents the company's contribution to community development as a private investor through the provision of sports infrastructure and recreational opportunities.

He explained that one of the major objectives of Prime Turf Gym and Fitness is to discover, nurture and develop young sporting talents within Ewekoro Local Government.
