NEW LEASE OF LIFE FOR LG PRIMARY SCHOOL, KAJOLA AS OGUNSOLA DELIVERS COMPREHENSIVE RENOVATION

In a significant boost to education infrastructure in Yewa South Local Government, the Executive Chairman, Barr. Abraham Babatunde Ogunsola, has completed the full renovation of the Yewa South Local Government Primary School in Kajola, Ajilete.

The council committed substantial funds from its capital vote to rehabilitate the three-classroom block following urgent appeals by stakeholders from the Ifekowajo area, who drew attention to the facility’s deplorable condition.

With the onset of the rainy season, the council moved swiftly to execute the project, ensuring pupils would no longer have to endure leaking roofs and harsh weather conditions during classes.

Barr. Ogunsola described the intervention as a demonstration of his administration’s responsiveness to the needs of the people, particularly children.

“The council is happy to respond at this critical time,” he said. 

“Our people must know that this administration is responsive and will not ignore any information capable of improving the lives of our citizens, especially our kids." "

"Prior to the renovation, the school building was in a terrible state: the roof was leaking badly, doors were shattered, windows had fallen off their frames, and the ceilings were severely damaged." 

Following the council’s intervention, the structure now boasts of a brand new roof, new doors, new windows, replaced ceilings, and a fresh coat of paint, providing pupils with a much more conducive learning environment.

The renovation is expected to significantly enhance teaching and learning activities in the school, creating a safer, more comfortable atmosphere that will boost pupils’ concentration and academic performance. 

Parents and teachers in the Kajola community have expressed deep appreciation for the timely intervention, describing it as a major relief and a clear sign of the council’s commitment to quality education.

This project further underscores Barr. Ogunsola’s dedication to infrastructure development and human capital investment across Yewa South Local Government. 

The Chairman reiterated that his administration will continue to prioritize the education sector and respond to the genuine needs of communities as part of broader efforts to build a better future for the children of Yewa South.
