There was an atmosphere of excitement at the Yewa South Local Government Secretariat, Ilaro, as the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission commended the council’s workforce for their outstanding performance during its statewide assessment tour.
The Commission’s Chairman, Ms. Olivia Olubukunola Onabanjo, disclosed that the Executive Chairman of Yewa South Local Government, Barr. Abraham Babatunde Ogunsola, had expressed strong satisfaction with the dedication and professionalism of his staff, describing them as models of effective public service delivery.
Ms. Onabanjo lauded the staff for aligning with the Commission’s vision and mission, noting that their adherence to ethical standards and commitment to duty exemplify the quality of service the state government expects at the grassroots level.
“The Commission is pleased that the message of excellence is taking root across Ogun State,” she said. “We urge the workforce to sustain their commendable efforts and continue supporting His Excellency, Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun, CON, MFR, and the Council Chairman in delivering meaningful governance to the people.”
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Yewa South Branch, Comrade Babatunde Osadare, expressed appreciation to the Commission’s leadership for the recognition and pledged continued commitment of the staff to the government’s developmental goals.
The visit, attended by top officials of the Commission and directors, was warmly received by the local government’s executives led by Barr. Ogunsola, who described the occasion as a reaffirmation of the Council’s resolve to maintain excellence in service delivery.
