The Executive Chairman of Ogun Waterside Local Government, Abigi, Hon. Odunnoiki Adetoye AbdulGaniyu has described the Award of Excellence (Best Administrator of the Year) bestowed on Mr. Odusoga Olalekan Monsuru, Head of Local Government Administration in the Council area by the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission at the Gala Nite of the 2025 Local Government Service Week as an award well deserved for a thoroughbred professional. The event, which was held at the D.L.K Event Centre, Leme, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria recently.
Hon. Odunnoiki made the assertion at a mini-reception organized in honor of the Awardee in his office at Abigi. He noted that, though he was not surprised by the Award as Ogun Waterside Local Government has, over the years, been known for the best in every facet of life. He then congratulated the Holga for the award and encouraged him to put more effort into the sustainability of the honour if not surpassing it, while promising that he's going to work assiduously towards grabbing the best Local Government Award in the near future.
Speaking at the event, the Vice Chairman and Supervisor for Primary Health Care, Alhaja Ogunlana Olabode congratulated Mr Odusoga Olalekan for the award while urging him to use the honour to benefit the Political Office Holders, Career Officers, and the entire Local Government
Others who lend their voices include; Alhaji Hon. Okuwoga Nojeemdeen Adeyinka, the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Olusegun Salami, Supervisor for Information, Education and Sports, Hon. Mafe Ibrahim, Supervisor for Works and Housing, Comrade Abayomi Adefowora, the NULGE Chairman who at different points appreciated God in his life and congratulated him on the Award.
Mr. Odusoga Olalekan Monsuru appreciated God for the mercy in his life and that of his family, he also appreciated the Commission for the honour as well as appreciating the unwavering support and love he has ever received from his boss, the Executive Chairman of Ogun Waterside Local Government and that he always sees him as somebody with a large heart, saying that the Chairman has been his source of inspirations all the times.
He appreciated other members of the Executive, Legislative Arms, the Career Officers, and the entire workforce for standing tall for his success, noting that he was overwhelmed with the level of support, encouragement, and choice of words from different angles in the course of congratulating him.
Thereafter, he then extended the appreciation to his wife and the children for believing in him, as they all stood by him come rain, come shine, while he later dedicated the award to the good people of Ogun Waterside Local Government.
