RED CARD DRAMA : UNITED OVERPOWER CHELSEA IN FIERY OLD TRAFFORD CLASH

....edges out the Blues 2-1
 By Olopade Sakiru

Old Trafford witnessed ninety minutes of chaos, drama, and resilience on Saturday evening as Manchester United edged out Chelsea 2–1 in a Premier League thriller defined by red cards and relentless energy.
The game exploded into life inside four minutes when Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sánchez was dismissed for a rash challenge outside his box on Bryan Mbeumo. Reduced to ten men almost instantly, Chelsea were forced into a defensive reshuffle that handed United the initiative.

United skipper Bruno Fernandes broke the deadlock on 14 minutes with a composed finish after clever link-up play.
Their advantage doubled when Casemiro powered home a diving header in the 37th minute, exploiting gaps in Chelsea’s shaky back line.

Yet United’s dominance was dented before the interval when Casemiro himself was sent off after a second yellow card, levelling the numbers at ten a side.

Chelsea clawed back hope in the 80th minute when Trevoh Chalobah rose highest to nod in a Reece James cross, setting up a nervy finale. Despite heavy late pressure from the Blues, United’s defence held firm, securing a valuable three points.
