In her unwavering commitment to grassroots development, Hon Waliat Folasade Adeyemo (PhD) , the Executive Chairman of Odeda Local Government, has continued to set a standard of purposeful leadership with the commissioning of series of impactful projects designed to uplift communities, enhance infrastructure and improve the welfare of the people.
In her keynote address, during the colourful commissioning of projects ceremony , the Local Government Boss appreciated His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON, Executive Governor of Ogun State, for the opportunity to serve and for providing enabling environment for the completion of the projects in terms of funding and other logistics.
Hon Adeyomo,also extended her appreciation to Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, community leaders, religious bodies, and stakeholders for their support and cooperation.
Speaking further, she explained that these projects are testament to her administration's collective commitment, progress and service to the good people of Odeda Local Government and that the projects are not just physical structure, but symbol of hope, growth and a better tomorrow for the people in Odeda Local Government.
While assuring the people of Odeda Local Government that her administration would continue to embark on people's oriented programmes that would uplift the standard of living of the people.
Some of the projects include:
- Ren
ovation of Community Development and Social Welfare Department, Odeda Local Government Secretariat, Odeda
ovation of Community Development and Social Welfare Department, Odeda Local Government Secretariat, Odeda
- Drilling and installation of motorized borehole with gasoline generator at IkaTitun, Odeda
- Drilling and installation of motorized borehole with gasoline generator at Osiele Market, Osiele
- Renovation of a block of two (2) classrooms with office and store at Ilupeju Alagbede, Obantoko
- Renovation of Local Government Marriage Registry at Gbonagun, Obantoko
- Construction of a block of two (2) classrooms with office and toilet at Baptist Primary School, Iyana Abibu, Obete.
She, however, appealed to all residents living at the sites of these projects to see them as their own projects that must be protected by all and sundry and as well put them into good use so that generations unborn may benefit from them.
Speaking at the commissioning, the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Ganiyu Oladunjoye Hamzat, expressed his delight upon seeing the joy on the faces of the people because of the various projects being commissioned.
Hon Hamzat thanked the Ogun State Governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for the support to all the twenty Local Government Chairmen in Ogun State, while appreciating the Executive Chairman, Hon Waliat Folasade Adeyemo (PhD) for keeping her promise of delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Odeda Local Government.
In his vote of thanks, Hon. Akindele Musiliu , Governor Liaison Officer, Odeda Local Government, extended his heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Chairman, for keeping her promise.
While expressing his profound gratitude to the Speaker ,Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide and the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat for their support.
He, however, appealed to the people and the community development associations where these projects are sited to take proper care of these projects.
