OGUNSOLA TURNS TO GOD AS HIS CHAIRMANSHIP JOURNEY BEGINS

After  assuming office as the Executive Chairman of Yewa South local government, Hon. Abraham Babatunde Ogunsola has turned to God for guidance over a successful administration.

On Friday, 22nd November, he held a special prayer session, led by Islamic clerics, at the local government secretariat in Ilaro to seek divine grace.

He submitted that he sought God's face "to seek His guidance on how to steer the ship of the local government to the promised land."

He said after receiving the mandate to serve for 3 years, he is determined "to deliver the dividends of democracy  as he promised the people of the council area during the electioneering campaign."

He said to do that, he had to call on God because "human efforts are limited, when it comes to results, but God's intervention can never fail. So, we need God aboard now, at the very start of our reign, to guide us all through our administration."

"It is also pertinent to state, unequivocally, that everyone is free to lend support to this administration in any way they see fit. We will run an all-inclusive government. Everyone is invited to come forward with meaningful contributions."

He went on to thank the people of the local government for trusting him with their mandate, saying that they will not regret giving him the mandate.

As a sign of unity, the Vice Chairman, Hon. Bankole Sheriff Olanrewaju, all the elected honourable councilors, from the ten wards in the local government area, the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Wole Fateru and other top government officials were present at the prayer session to lend support and solidarity to the newly elected chairman.
