ODLG: HON .(DR) BABATUNDE OYETOLA INAUGURATES THE 10TH LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL

........charges them to work tirelessly, selflessly in the enactment of Bye-laws for the growth and development of Odogbolu Local Government.

The Executive Chairman,  Odogbolu Local Government Area of  Ogun State, Hon. Babatunde Oyetola Diya has charged all the Legislative Council members to discharge their constitutional duties to the best of their ability.

He made this known in his welcome address during the  Swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected Honourable Councillors and proclamation of the 10th Legislative Council of Odogbolu Local Government, held at Local Government  Secretariat, Friday, 22nd November, 2024.

While Speaking at the event, Hon. Oyetola acknowledged the good and exemplary leadership demonstrated by the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON, for the peaceful conduct of the Local Government  Elections 

He also appreciated the good people of Odogbolu for coming out en- mass to support all Progressive Congress (APC) by expressing their franchise while promising to do his best within available resources to positively touch the lives of people so that the anticipated dividends of democracy could be enjoyed by all and sundry, regardless of race, tribe or political affiliations.

The inauguration ceremony of the 10th Legislative Council was conducted by the Clerk of the Legislative Council of Odogbolu Local Government, Mr. Muraino Gbadebo. In the process, Hon. Adesoye Akeem Tunde emerged as the Leader of the House, Hon. Ayoola Adewale as Deputy Leader, Hon.Ekitunde Oluwadamilola Olukoya as the Majority Leader and Hon. (Mrs) Idowu Olubukonla Osunsaya as Chief Whip .

In his acceptance speech after his emergence as the  10th Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. Adesoye Akeem Tunde, representing Ibefun, Ward 9, thanked God for the success of the election, He also appreciated his colleagues for the confidence reposed in him by electing him as the Leader.

He stressed further that  it is a collective task while promising that  they should work together  as one indivisible House with the Executive Arm, for peace progress and unity of Odogbolu Local Government.

Dignitaries at the event were: Vice-Chairman, Odogbolu Local Government, Hon. Princess Victoria Adeyinka; Hon. Femi Ogunbanwo, member House of Representatives,Ijebu Central Constituency; Hon. Ogunaike Dennis, SSA to the Governor on Technology Innovation and Youth Development; Hon. Adebowale Ojuri, Commissioner 1, Ogun State Civil Service Commission; APC Party Chairman, Hon. Muyiwa Idowu; the mmediate past Vice-Chairman, Hon (Mrs) Iretiolu Adenugba; former SLG, Hon. Olamide Fasola; All former Supervisors, all former Special Advisers, all Local Government Party Excos; all Local Government Party Leaders; all Wards Leaders and Iyaloja General, Chief( Mrs) Muyibat Adebanjo.

Also, at the event, were: The Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Awobotu Victor, all Heads of Department and members of Staff, Odogbolu Local Government, amongst other well wishers.
