IFO LG CHAIRMAN,HON.DELANO UNVEILS NEWLY REMODELLED OSOLO/OLAJUMOKE MARKET

.....Hon.Chief(Mrs) Kikelomo Delano gives kudos to the Ogun State Governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON for support in giving prompt approval for the project.


In a bid to improve economic activities and promote trade, the Executive Chairman, Ifo Local Government, Hon. Chief (Mrs.) Kikelomo Delano has officially commissioned the newly remodelled Osolo/Olajumoke market with 244 open stalls and 202 Lock-up shops located at Akute end of the Council Area on Thursday 27th June, 2024. 

 The transformation of the market is aimed at providing improved facilities and enhance the overall shopping experience for traders and customers alike as well as to create a better conducive and thriving market environment, supporting the local economy of the community.



The market features modern stalls, expanded parking space and toilets for the convenience of both the traders and consumers.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Delano appreciated the Almighty God for the completion of the project. She equally gave kudos to His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON, the Executive Governor of Ogun State for his support in giving approval for the project.
The Council boss specially thanked the Osolo and Olajumoke families for their support by providing the land on which the project was built. 

She however, advised the traders and consumers alike to ensure proper usage of the shops while advising them to maintain good hygiene particularly at the moment when cholera is prevalent. 
Engr. Richard Bamiduro, representing the Developer of the project, Nzebruebu Ventures Nig. Limited, described the project as a Public-Private partnership. 

He commended the relentless effort of the Executive Chairman, lfo Local Government, Hon. Chief (Mrs.) Kikelomo Delano in ensuring that the project is completed in record time. He equally appreciated the families of Osolo and Olajumoke.

In their separate remarks, the Iyaloja of Osolo and Olajumoke, Mrs. Ayisat Olajogun and Chief Nurudeen Adesina, the Ekerin of Olajumoke town expressed their gratitude to the management of Ifo Local Government for considering the community for such a gigantic and economically beneficial project which will greatly impact the lives of the people in the area positively.
In a related development, Hon. Delano also commissioned a block of sixteen lock-up shops built by the Local Government and Jutifat Nig. Limited as a public-private partnership at Agbado area office of the Council. 
In attendance were the Vice Chairman, Hon. Oladapo Adebesin, Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon  Adeleye Olarenwaju and other political appointees as well as the Head of Local Government Administration, Miss Olufunke Adeniji, Directors and Head of various Departments in the Local Government. Other attendees include  Alhaja Wadooye, Otun Iyaloja and Chief Bamijoko, the Olori ebi of osolo town amongst many others.
