"Celebrate Moderately And Reflect On The Values Of Sacrifice And Giving"--Hon Adesina Charges Muslim Faithfuls.

...... Cautions motorists and other road users to obey traffic rules and regulations during and after Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

The Muslim Faithfuls in the country and in particular , Ewekoro Local Government have been charged to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir with moderation and avoid spending beyond their financial means.

According to a press statement issued by the Executive Chairman, Ewekoro Local Government, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa, through the office of the Council's Director Of Information, Mr. Olopade Sakiru , urged them not to get carried away by the euphoria of the festivities but follow to the latter the tenets of Islam guiding the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

" I want our Muslim brothers and sisters to reflect on the values of sacrifice, gratitude, giving as well as embracing the spirit of Unity, compassion, generosity, faith and devotion as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim."-- the chairman stated.

Hon Adesina, also used the medium to call upon Nigerians to pray for the country and the present administration in the efforts to salvage the country from the economic doldrum .

He , therefore , took time to advise  motorists and other road users to obey traffic rules and regulations during and after the celebration, adding, " It is only the living that celebrates."

" Let me add this , you commercial drivers, please avoid night traveling , over speeding and reckless driving in your bid to make fast and brisk businesses ."

The Local Government Boss, while congratulating them for witnessing another Eid-el-Kabir hale  and hearty, prayed that Almighty Allah grant everyone sound health, and joy as they celebrate the festival of sacrifice .
The Eid-el-Kabir, is a major festival in Islam and celebrated the day after the Muslim Pilgrims to Makkah across the globe performed the most important hajj rite--staying on the mountain of Arafat. 

 The Eid-el-Kabir which is also known as festival of sacrifice is to commemorate  the exemplary act of Prophet Ibrahim in fulfilment of his promise to Allah concerning Ismail.
