Ewekoro Local Government Celebrates ENGR. OGUNBONA, On Her New Appointment As LGSC Permanent Secretary

The Headquarters of Ewekoro Local Government, Itori was agog as both the political and career functionaries of the Local Government celebrated Engr.Olanike Olawunmi Ogunbona , FNSE, on her new appointment as the permanent secretary of the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission.

Engr Ogunbona is one of the recently appointed three permanent secretaries in the Ogun State Civil Service by the Ogun State Governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON.

The colourful reception put together by the Council management in conjunction with the Nigeria Union Of Local Government Employees, saw both political functionaries and entire members of staff full of appreciation in an electrifying atmosphere that was filled with love and joy, accompanied with harmoniousness of good and Godly music.
Speaking at the glamorous event, the elated Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa expressed his gratitude to God on behalf of the new permanent secretary.

" It came to me like a shock, the most surprising thing is that there was no struggling or anxiety observed from her about the position. That's a testament to the people saying that whatever that belongs to someone, one needs not to struggle for it." 

" I can't explain how happy i have been since two days ago that i have heard about the new development , because it will remain in my record that during my tenure as the Executive Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government, this significant achievement as one of career functionaries was appointed to the exalted position in the Ogun State Civil Service."

Hon Adesina, therefore, concluded with the prayer that God will continue to prove His mightiness in the new permanent secretary's life , adding, " God who has seen you thus far, will not leave you."
Speaking on behalf of other Directors , the Director of General Services and Administration, Mrs Ogunyewo Kemi, seized the opportunity to appreciate the Executive Chairman, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa, describing him as the light that reflects to other souls that come near him.

Mrs Ogunyewo, then congratulated Engr.Olanike Olawunmi while praying for God's continual backing in her new appointment as the permanent secretary.
Responding, the newly appointed permanent secretary of the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, Engr Olanike Olawunmi Ogunbona, FNSE , was full of appreciation to the Almighty God.

Her words: "God has been good to me, i am joyous and i can't hide it. All i have to say is thank you Lord. It is not by my power nor by my might but by the spirit of the living God."

" I never expected it, that's  the reason, i am returning all the glory to God."

Engr.Ogunbona , used the occasion to appreciate the Ogun State Governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for the appointment, promising to discharge her duties to the best of her ability in line with the ISEYA MANTRA.

She , equally, extended her gratitude to the Council Chairman, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa and other political functionaries as well as the entire staff for the warm reception according her.
In his vote of thanks, the chairman, Nigeria Union Of Local Government Employees, Ewekoro branch, Comrade Abdulsalam Ibrahim, expressed his joy for the Engr. Ogunbona, describing her as mother while urging the newly appointed permanent secretary to continue in her motherhood act.

Earlier, prayers were offered both in Islamic and Christian ways for Engr. Olanike Olawunmi Ogunbona, FNSE.
Prior to her appointment as permanent secretary, Engr.Olanike Olawunmi Ogunbona, FNSE , served as the Head of Local Government Administration, Ewekoro Local Government.

 The new permanent secretary of the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, Engr Olanike, Olawunmi Ogunbona, FNSE, an indigene of Ijebu Igbo, a reputable engineer who has distinguished herself in the Nigerian engineering community joined the Ogun State Local Government Service in December, 1991.

Olanike's achievements have been recognized through a series of awards as a result of her dedication and significant contributions to the engineering profession and the Ogun State Local Government Service.
