IFO LG CHAIRMAN, DELANO, LAUDS GOV. ABIODUN OVER FREE MEDICAL CARE, OTHER PALLIATIVES

The Executive Chairman, Ifo Local Government, Hon. Chief (Mrs.) Kikelomo Aridunnu Delano, has commended the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for initiating the ongoing free medical surgery and other palliative measures aimed at ameliorating the present economic hardship being experienced by the people of the State. 

Speaking in her office recently, Hon. Delano praised the governor's commitment towards improving the health and well-being of Ogun State residents, noting that the free medical programme would significantly have impact on the lives of many people in Ifo Local Government and the State in general, who could not otherwise afford essential medical care.

The Chairman also urged residents of Ifo Local Government to take advantage of the free medical programme and visit the designated centers for registration and treatment. 

She also noted that there is health insurance cover for over 70,000 people which covers pregnant women, children, the elderly, market women and other members of the informal sector.

Delano also commended other palliative measures introduced by His Excellency which include provision of five exercise books to 850,000 students in all public primary and secondary schools,  one-time N10,000 education support grant for at least 100,000 pupils in public primary and secondary schools in the State as well as N50,000 each for 27,600 indigenes of the State in various tertiary institutions nationwide. 

Others include, food palliative for about 300,000 households, payment of N10,000 transport allowance to all civil servants in the State and 500 million naira monthly payment of inherited backlog of outstanding deductions.
