At Goodison Park, it was a sweet victory for Everton in front of their fans, who were cheering them ceaselessly by inflicting the heaviest defeat on the top four, contender, Newcastle so far this season.

The Toffees proving football pundits wrong, against all predictions went into the game with the determination to fight their way out of the relegation water, having ten points deducted for breach of financial regulations.

Dwight McNeil, Abdoulaye Doucoure and substitute Beto had their names on scorer sheets.

As expected, Newcastle enjoyed better possession but failed to convert the chance that came their way.

However, at the resumption of the second half, fired up by the home fans, Everton turned the heat on Newcastle, attacking ceaselessly, which forced Kieran Trippier to commit terrif which resulted to two goals out of the three goals recorded by the Toffees.

Dwight Mc Neil, broke the deadlock in the 79th minute while Abdoulaye Doucoure doubled the lead in the 86th minute before the substitute Beto registered the third goal in the 96th minute to send the whole arena into a wild jubilation.

Against all predictions, at White Hart Lane, Tottenham Hotspur, surprisingly lost to West Ham United by a goal to two.

Jarrod Bowen and James Ward--Prowse struck after half time to come back from a goal down to secure an away win for West Ham United in an impressive second half display.

Cristian Romero put Tottenham Hotspur ahead in the 11th minute to the delight of the home fans but David Moyes' men, capitalizing on an error at Spurs backline with 16 minutes left to grab the winning goal.

In the 52nd minute, Jarrod Bowen, to the bewilderment of Tottenham Hotspur's fans, registered an equalizer to restore parity in the encounter.

The goal that broke the camel's back was recorded in the 74th minute when Udogie's back pass was short while Vicario dived at the feet of Bowen, but Ward-Prowse was the first to lash on the loose ball for the second goal that sealed victory for West Ham United.

The defeat made it the fifth consecutive game that Spurs have taken the lead and not won, they lost four of those matches.
