Epileptic Manchester United Loses Again To Nottingham As Chelsea Escapes Luton's Late Onslaught To Edge Out Home Side

The inconsistent Manchester United have again shown their unreliability against the struggling Nottingham Forest, losing by a goal to two, after a Dramatic Come Back against Aston Villa at the theatre of dream.
Nottingham Forest, ending the year on a high with consecutive victories at St'James Park and then at home against Manchester United.
In a drab encounter, that saw the home side starting well, controlling the mid-field with compact defensive play throughout the first half but no goal to break the deadlock.
In the second half, Nottingham kept pushing more for the opening goal, until in the 64th minute when there was miscommunication between Jony Evans and Raphael Varane, trying to set offside trap and Nicolas Dominguez took full advantage to break the deadlock
Marcus Rashford in the 78th minute, capitalized on goalkeeper Matt Turner's poor pass, to find the back of the net, scoring his first league goal for United this season.
However, the goal that broke the camel's back was recorded in the 82nd minute, with the first strike by M Gibbs-White from the edge of the box, set up by the former Manchester United player, Anthony Elanga, sealing victory for the home side.
Meanwhile, at Kenilworth road, Chelsea escaped Luton's late onslaught to keep their heads high, after almost throwing away a three-goal lead in the closing minutes with a goal earlier from Noni Madueke and a brace by Cole Palmer while Ross Barkley and Elijah Adebayo scored for Luton at the tail end of the encounter 3-0 in favour of Chelsea.
The game ended Chelsea's run of four away defeats, losing 19 matches in all competitions.
At Etihad, Manchester City closed on the leaders by spanking Shellfield United by two goals to nill.
