YEWA SOUTH LG STAFF CONDUCT MASS ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION IN COMPLIANCE WITH OSHOS DIRECTIVE

 By Onaade Caroline

In line with the directive of the Ogun State Head of Service that all government agencies should carry out environmental sanitation at their place of work, Yewa South Local Government staff came out en masse to clean the Council Secretariat and its environs.
The exercise, held at the Council Secretariat, Ilaro, saw the entire staff, led by the Executive Chairman, Barr. Abraham Babatunde Ogunsola, and the new Head of Local Government Administration, Sanitarian Samuel Ige, actively participate in clearing drainages, sweeping, cutting overgrown grasses, and evacuating refuse.
Barr. Ogunsola said the exercise was in full compliance with the State Government’s directive to promote a clean, healthy, and safe working environment across all MDAs. He noted that a clean environment prevents disease, boosts staff morale, and improves productivity.
The Chairman commended the staff for their commitment and turnout, and urged them to imbibe the culture of cleanliness not only at work but also in their homes and communities.

In his remarks, Sanitarian Samuel Ige, HOLGA, appreciated the staff for responding promptly to the directive. He reiterated his commitment to sustaining environmental sanitation as a regular practice in the council to maintain hygiene and public health standards.
Yewa South LGA reaffirms its commitment to supporting the Ogun State Government’s clean and green agenda.
