The Executive Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government, Honourable Adesina Sikiru Adisa, has extended warm New Year greetings to the good people of Ewekoro Local Government, Ogun State, and Nigerians at large, describing the new year as a season of renewed hope, collective responsibility, and greater opportunities for sustainable development.
In his New Year message, Hon. Adesina expressed profound gratitude to Almighty God for His guidance and protection throughout the past year, acknowledging the resilience, patience, and unwavering support of the people despite economic and social challenges faced across the nation.
The Chairman noted that the previous year was marked by deliberate efforts to strengthen grassroots governance, improve service delivery, and promote peace and inclusiveness across communities in Ewekoro Local Government, stressing that the modest gains recorded were achieved through cooperation between government, traditional institutions, community leaders, youths, women, and other critical stakeholders.
Hon. Adesina reaffirmed his administration’s firm commitment to people-oriented leadership, assuring residents that the new year would witness intensified focus on infrastructural development, improved healthcare delivery, enhanced educational support, youth empowerment, and strategic interventions aimed at boosting local economic activities.
According to him, “Our vision remains clear—to build an Ewekoro Local Government that works for everyone, where development is inclusive, opportunities are accessible, and governance is transparent, accountable, and responsive to the needs of the people.”
The Executive Chairman emphasized that peace, unity, and communal harmony would continue to serve as the foundation for progress in the local government, urging residents to maintaining a safe and enabling environment for growth and investment.
He further called on youths to channel their energy toward productive ventures and skills acquisition, while encouraging women to remain active partners in governance and community development, assuring them of his administration’s continued support for initiatives that promote social inclusion and empowerment.
Hon. Adesina also commended the efforts of security agencies, civil servants, health workers, teachers, and community volunteers for their dedication and sacrifice, describing them as indispensable partners in the quest to deliver effective governance at the grassroots level.
