EWEKORO LG INFORMATION DEPT DAZZLES @ NULGELIGANZA, CLINCHES SECOND PLACE WITH POWER-PACKED ESKAY TV SHOWCASE

The Information, Education and Sports Department of Ewekoro Local Government has once again affirmed its reputation for excellence and innovation, emerging second best at the highly electrifying 2025 End-Of-Year Party, spectacularly tagged NULGEGALIAN: OJUDE ESKAY SEASON 1.
The event, which transformed Itori into a hub of colour, culture and excitement, featured a keenly contested inter-departmental competition that showcased creativity, professionalism and teamwork across the council.

For its impressive outing, the Information Department was rewarded with a ₦150,000 cash prize, generously presented by the Executive Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government, Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa, whose workers-friendly leadership and commitment to staff welfare added glamour to the celebration.
The department’s second-place finish was anchored on a brilliantly packaged Eskay TV News exhibition that kept staff and guests on the edge of their seats. The presentation featured the captivating and sonorous voice of newscaster Mrs. Ogundeji Folasade, alongside a vivid field report by Mr. Olanrewaju Oladeinde, whose professional narration brought the excitement and cultural splendour of OJUDE ESKAY SEASON 1 vividly to life.
Behind the scenes, the success of the Eskay TV News exhibition was driven by a highly dedicated and professional production crew, working under the strategic coordination of the Director of News, Eskay TV, Mr. Olopade Sakiru. In his dual capacity as Director of Information and Director of News, Mr. Olopade provided editorial direction, production oversight and quality control that ensured a seamless, impactful and well-structured news presentation. The production team comprised Mr. Oyedemi Michael Olusegun, Mrs. Lawal Omosola, Mr. Salami Kehinde Adebayo, Mrs. Oyedele  Paulina  Yenukuname, Mrs. Rufai Omolola , Mr. Adenopo Seyi, Miss Omolola Bankole and Miss Omolara Adeyemo whose expertise in scripting, logistics, editing and technical support delivered a flawless output. The visual brilliance of the production was further enhanced by the eagle-eye camera work of Mr. Dada Seyi Joseph and Miss Eniola Adesina, whose creative framing and crisp visuals added depth and professionalism to the broadcast.
Reacting to the achievement, the Director of Information, Mr. Olopade Sakiru, expressed profound gratitude to Almighty God for the success, noting that the feat was particularly remarkable given the department’s relatively small staff strength compared to other departments with larger numerical advantage.
Mr. Olopade also commended the Executive Chairman, Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa, for organising a grand and inclusive end-of-year celebration, particularly applauding the cash rewards extended to the first three departments : FINANCE AND SUPPLY -- #200,000

While all other participating departments were equally rewarded with a consolation prize of ₦50,000 each, a gesture that underscored the Chairman’s commitment to motivation, inclusiveness and workers’ welfare.

The prolific writer , further appreciated the NULGE Executives of Ewekoro Local Government for organising what he described as a first-of-its-kind celebration in the history of local governments in Ogun State. According to him, the initiative was a befitting effort that could only emanate from Ewekoro Local Government, a council widely known for excellence, innovation and leadership in workers’ welfare.
While congratulating fellow departments for a healthy and spirited competition, he confidently declared that the Information Department would return stronger in 2026, promising to give reigning champions Finance and Supply a serious run for the top position.
Describing the achievement as a product of teamwork and professionalism, the Information and Public Relations guru applauded his staff for their cooperation, creativity and dedication, urging them to remain steadfast in delivering excellent service in the projection, promotion and positive image-building of Ewekoro Local Government.

In their joyous response, members of the Information Department praised Mr. Olopade Sakiru’s visionary leadership, excellent tutelage and mentorship, pledging their unflinching support and cooperation to sustain greater accomplishments.

They proudly reaffirmed the department’s enduring identity as “SMALL BUT MIGHTY,” vowing to uphold the appellation in all ramifications.
