Ewekoro Local Government has successfully conducted its 2025 Junior Staff Management Committee (JSMC) meeting, where a total of 51 staff appointments were confirmed.
In addition to the confirmations, the committee also approved in-service training for officers, aimed at enhancing their capacity and professional development in line with the Local Government's commitment to building a more effective workforce.
Delivering the message of the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, during the exercise, held at the Council's conference room, the Director Of Appointment, Discipline and Pension, Alhaji Abayomi Lemboye , urged the Ag.Head Of Local Government Administration and Directors/Heads Of department to uphold discipline among members of staff in the discharge of their duties.
" Ensure that your staff remain punctual and regular at work, and do not hesitate to report cases of truancy, let diligence, commitment and responsibility guide the way you perform assignments."
He stressed the need to cultivate a cordial relationship with the political functionaries and accord them the necessary courtesies, while providing them with sound and professional advice that will shape policy formulation and drive effective implementation , adding, " In doing so, you not only strengthen the institution but also contribute meaningfully to the growth and progress of our Local Government,"--- he concluded.
Earlier, welcoming the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission representatives to the 2025 JSMC meeting, the Director Of General Services and Administration who also doubles as the Chairman of JSMC, Ewekoro Local Government, Mr. Anigboro Daniel 'Wole , thanked and appreciated them for finding time out of their tight schedule to conduct the 2025 JSMC meeting, while assuring members of staff of the Management's commitment to the welfare, growth and career progression of its workforce.
The JSMC serves as a platform for reviewing, promoting, confirming staff appointments, disciplinary measure, conversion as well as considering training opportunities for improved service delivery.
The exercise had in attendance, Director Of Appointment, Discipline and Pension, Alhaji Abayomi Lemboye, Director Of Promotion, Posting and Transfer, Mr. Adeola Elemide and Assistant Directors from the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission as well as members of JSMC , Ewekoro Local Government.
