OBA OLUSEYI ADEDIRAN PRESENTED WITH THE INSTRUMENT OF APPOINTMENT, STAFF OF OFFICE AS THE NEW TOWULADE OF AKINALE

.....Hon Adesina  appeals to the people of Akinale to rally round the newly installed monarch.

The Executive Chairman Of Ewekoro Local Government, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa has appealed to the people of Akinale, both at home and in diaspora to rally round the new monarch in order to take Akinale Town to an enviable heights.

The Chairman made the appeal during the presentation of instrument of appointment and staff of office to Oba Oluseyi Adewole Adediran, the new Towulade of Akinale, the Otileta 1, at Akinale Town.

According to Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa, " Where there is unity, there will be development and progress. Hence, i call for your absolute cooperation with the Kabiyesi, please."

" Meanwhile, i wish to plead with the forum of Obas in Ewekoro Local Government to extend hand of fellowship to the new monarch as this will go a long way in boosting his morale and giving him a strong footing on the throne,"-- the Chairman counselled.

While welcoming the dignitaries to the event, Hon Adesina appreciated Prince Dapo Abiodun,CON, the Governor of Ogun State and all the State officials, leaders as well as Royal Fathers.

" Today's occasion of the official presentation of staff of office to the new Towulade of Akinale, His Royal Majesty, Oba Oluseyi Adewole Adediran marks a significant milestone for this Local Government and a new dawn for the good people of Akinale Town as this will bring to an end interregnum that started since the demise of the late Oba (DR) Olufemi Ogunleye."

The Local Government boss, seized the opportunity to extend his appreciation to Hon Ganiyu Hamzat, the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs,Ogun State, for the fantastic job he has been doing, especially in the area of process and installation of eligible candidates as Obas in the State as a whole and in Ewekoro Local Government in particular.

" In the same vein, i appreciate the Permanent Secretary, the Directors and others at the Ministry for performing their job with utmost professionalism and for ensuring that no stone is left turned while carrying out their official duties on this matter,"-- the Chairman stated.

Similarly ,  Hon.Adesina took time to extend his profound gratitude to His Royal Majesty, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, CFR , the Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Prof.)  Saka Adeola Matemilola, the Olowu of Owu Kingdom and the Ministry of Justice for the pivotal roles they played before the approval of the State Executive Council could be achieved.

In his address at the event, the Ogun State Governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, who spoke through the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat, described the installation of a new Towulade of Akinale as indeed a great accomplishment, for both Government Of Ogun State and the people of Akinale, stressing that the occasion is a testimony to the commitment of the Ogun State, led by Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, in ensuring that the rich cultural heritage is sustained and the traditional institution continue to receive the utmost recognition due to them in the State.

" This event is the pinnacle of activities that were put in place to ensure the emergency of a new Towulade in the great town of Akinale. It is indeed an epoch-making event in the annals of the history of Akinale community."

" The nomination and selection process that produced the new Kabiyesi had followed the due-process prescribed by the Obas and Chiefs Law Of Ogun State, 2021 , as well as the custom and tradition of the Community.

Prince Dapo, therefore, used the occasion to congratulate the new monarch, the Egba Traditional Council and the entire people of Akinale for their conduct throughout the process.

While charging the people of Akinale, Prince Abiodun, urged them to rally round the new monarch so that Akinale will continue on the path of progress and development.

" I know that the new Towulade possesses the necessary experience required to steer the ship of the community to greater heights.

The Governor, enjoined the new monarch to ensure peaceful relationship between the Akinale people and all neighbouring communities.

" As a matter of fact, we will always welcome Kabiyesi's desire to mobilize the people of Akinale towards the discharge of their civic duties and responsibilities, as Ogun State Government relies heavily on the Internally-Generated Revenue (IGR) for the continued delivery of dividends of democracy to the people of our dear State."

" Also , i want to swiftly inform Kabiyesi of the  Land-Grabbing Prohibition Law in Ogun State, which amongst others, prohibit Land-Grabbing and wanton allocation of lands in the State for personal gains, without due recourse to the appropriate authority. I must say that Ogun State Government doesn't only frown at land-grabbing activities, but detests involvement of any Kabiyesi in such dastard acts. In this wise, i advise our new Kabiyesi to support the anti-land grabbing campaign and other related criminalities in your domain."

In his acceptance speech, the newly installed monarch, Oba Oluseyi Adewole Adediran, Towulade of Akinale, expressed his heartfelt gratitude, on behalf of himself, wife and the entire family of Adediran of Odogbo compound of Otileta in Akinale to the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun,CON, for the honour done on him.

" I am deeply honoured to receive this staff of office with the truth and confidence reposed in me . I accept this huge responsibilities, with humility, commitment, responsibility, while recognizing the weight of the duty on my shoulders."

" I set to uphold the values of our great communities and Yoruba land at large."

" I promise peace and unity, development, working tirelessly for the betterment of my people,"- the monarch concluded.

The Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Oba (Prof.) Saka Adeola Matemilola, Oluyalo, Otileta the 7th, represented by Alawowo of Awowo, Oba  Abdul Gafar Olasunkanmi Tijani, advised the new Kabiyesi to reconcile and work together with the co-contesters to the royal stool in the efforts to ensure peace and harmony within the communities so that Akinale Town will witness quick and accelerated development.

" I beg you in the name of the ancestors of Akinale to work as one, indivisible entity so that outsiders will not have way to penetrate.

The stool of Towulade of Akinale became vacant when Oba Olufemi Adewunmi Ogunleye, joined his ancestors on 19th June, 2024 and the subsequent selection process for filing the vacant stool had been satisfactorily concluded with the emergence of Oba Oluseyi Adewole Adediran as the new Towulade of Akinale.
