ODOGBOLU LG : DR.BABATUNDE DIYA SWEARS -IN SPECIAL ADVISERS, CHARGES THEM TO ENSURING POLICY IMPLEMENTATION, ADVISORY ROLES ACROSS ALL SECTORS

The Executive Chairman, Odogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun State, Hon. ( Dr) Babatunde Oyetola Diya has sworn in four special Advisers on Wednesday 12th March, 2025 at the Local Government Secretariat to be part of his Adminstration.

During the ceremony, Oyetola congratulated the new appointees, while praying that their tenure will bring meaningful and impactful develorrnment to Odogbolu Local Government.

In his words, Dr. Diya said ''This appointment is a call to duty, requiring dedication, transparency and commitment to the well being of  our people. As special Advisers, your role is critical in ensuring policy implementation, Advisory roles and special service delivery accross all sectors including Education, Health care services, infrastructure, Agriculture and social well being.

He added that, " I urge you to work diligently, engage in Community Development and uphold the trust people have in you."

The Chairman seized the opportunity to highlight some  of the projects embarked on by his Adminstration which include:

1. Improving the lives of good people of Odogbolu Local Government area through key initiative programmes such as Health care access, the enrollment of 2,000  residents in Ogun State Health insurance scheme under "Iwosan Tunde" intiative.

2. Infrastructural development,  welfare package and provision of boreholes

3. Revitalization of Health care centers

4. Adoption of sustainable and renewable energy

5. Also, Oyetola facilitates Federal Government Projects;

1. Renovation of Ogbo Primary Health Center

2.  Renovation and construction of maternity center at Imodi

3. Renovation of Ilado primary Health Center with Construction of staff quarters

4. Renovation and up grading Ososa primary Health Center

5. Basic Health care provision fund facilitated and renovation of Ibefun Health Center by the State Government.

The Oath of office and Oath of Allegiance taken by the newly Special Advisers was conducted by the Executive Chairman, Dr. Oyetola Diya.

In his vote of thanks, Mr.Olajide Balogun, on behalf of the other appointees, appreciated the good people of Odogbolu Local Government Area for their support and the trust repose in them.

He promised that they will discharge their duties diligently, while assuring the Executive Chairman, Dr. Babatunde Oyetola Diya of their total support to the present administration.

The newly sworn in Members are 

1. Mr. Hameed Olajide Balogun  special Adviser on Education, Community and Chieftaincy Affairs

2. Mr. Nurudeen Balogun special Adviser on Works and Security

3. Mr. Alimi Dhirk Evans  special Adviser on special duties and Women Affairs

4. Mr. Ganiyu Salami   special Adviser on Agriculture and Natural Resources

The colourful event was graced by prominent personalities  that  include : The Vice Chairman, Odogbolu Local Government, Princess Victoria Adeyinka; Alhaji Fasasi Kalejaiye, member Governor's Advisory committee ( GAC), former Local Government Chairman in Odogbolu; Special Assistant to Governor Dapo Abiodun on I. C. T. Hon. Dennis Ogunaike; Secretary to the Local Government, Deacon Stanley Olunogun; the Leader of the Legislative council, Rrt. Hon. Tunde Adesoye;  all part Leaders, market men and women.

Also at the event were Head of Local Government Adminisration, Mr. Awobotu Victor, Head of General Services and Adminstration, Otunba Bolujoko Micheal, Head of works and Housing department, Engr, Bamidele Yusuff; Head of Community department, Mrs. Adenumo Oluwatoyin;  internal Auditor, Mrs. Kehinde Bukonla, Clerk of the House, Mr. Muraino Gbadebo and a host of others.
