After careful consideration and thorough deliberation, the youth leadership of IFO Local Government has decided to opt out of the forthcoming nationwide protest scheduled for August 1st to August 10th.
In a press statement signed by the All Progressives Congress, (APC ) Youth leader, Ifo Local Government, Musa Idowu
While acknowledging the legitimate concerns that have prompted the call for protests, but firmly believe that constructive engagement, dialogue, and collaboration with relevant stakeholders are more effective in addressing any grievances.
"In lieu of participating in the protests, we will continue to engage with local authorities and community leaders to address our challenges through peaceful and democratic means," he stated.
" We are committed to maintaining harmony and fostering an environment conducive to growth and development in Ifo local government "
The youth leadership of Ifo Local Government, therefore encourage other fellow youths across the nation to explore alternative, peaceful channels for expressing their concerns, stressing, "We appreciate the understanding and support of our fellow citizens and reiterate our dedication to peace and progress."
