ODEDA LG: ALHAJA SHEKONI, NEWLY POSTED HOLGA, HOLDS MAIDEN MEETING WITH STAFF MEMBERS, SEEKS TOTAL SUPPORT FROM THEM.

The newly posted Head Of Local Government Administration to Odeda Local Government, Alhaja Shekoni Adebimpe Nurat has called for total support from staffers of the council during her period while equally enjoining them to discharge their duties with utmost efficiency.

The HOLGA , Alhaja Shekoni Adebimpe Nurat gave the charge during the maiden meeting with members of staff, held at the Local Government Secretariat, Odeda.

Alhaja Shekoni  emphatically said any act of indiscipline such as lateness, absenteeism, loitering and indecent dressing as stated in the staff regulations would not be condoned .

Speaking on the Internally Generated Revenue ,  she identified market as one of the substantial source of revenue generation left to the Local Government.

Acknowledging the fact that  generating money from the market is tedious , Alhaja Shekoni said  strategies are already in place to at least alleviate staff stress if not totally removed.

On staff welfare, the Head Of Local Government Administration, Alhaja Shekoni gave assurance that staff welfare would be given top  priority,   therefore,  areas such as provision of toilets, provision of working tools, staff clinic, and renovation of Community Department will be seriously looked into.

The Chairman of Nigeria Union Of Local Government Employees,  Odeda Local Government Branch , Comrade Sholanke Rasheed, during his vote of thanks emphasized that all members of staff are ready to work assiduously and give maximal support   to the newly posted Head Of Local Government Administration. 

In attendance at the meeting were all Directors/Head Of departments, principal officers and the entire members of staff.
