ODOGBOLU LG HOLGA, BOLA OSHIN BOWS OUT GRACIOUSLY FROM THE OGUN STATE LOCAL GOVERNMENT SERVICE

"Whatever that has a beginning must surely have an end" 

It was a double celebration in the life of the retired Head of Local Government Administration, Odogbolu Local Government, Ogun State, (Mrs) Bola Nofisat Oshin, as she graciously bows out from the Ogun State Local Government Service after thirty four years of meritorious service.  which also coincided with her 60th birthday celebration. 

An event was therefore  put together by colleagues, friends, and associates, to celebrate the double remarkable milestone in the life of the seasoned information manager and astute administrator.


Speaking at the ceremony held at the Odogbolu Local Government Secretariat, on Tuesday, 9th January, 2024, the Chairman of the Day, and Director General Services and Administration of Odogbolu Local Government, Mrs. Anu Fatade, described the celebrant as an astute administrator worthy of emulation, a God-fearing individual, and a personality who keeps to her words, and someone who is professionally equipped with human knowledge and conceptual skills.


While appreciating God for her safe landing, the Executive Chairman of Odogbolu Local Government, Hon. Ladejobi Shuaib, could not hide his feeling for having the opportunity of working with the retired HoLGA.
He stressed further that the retiree is a person who is highly committed to duty and who has contributed immensely to the growth and development of Odogbolu Local Government in particular, and Ogun State in general.

Hon. Ladejobi seized the opportunity to highlight some of the projects embarked upon and completed by his Administration, which include; 

1. Borehole at ward 2 Iperin.

2. Open market stalls at Agoro.

3. Construction of a new block of two classrooms with an office, Sick-bay and store at St. Francis Primary School, Ibefun, ward 9.  

4. Construction of Health Center at Ala 4,800 meters drainage both sides at Aiyepe ward 6.

5. Some educational materials were distributed to pupils, like school Uniforms, Chairs, desks, marker boards and branded exercise books, All the items mentioned were distributed among selected primary schools from Odogbolu ward 1, Okun Owa Ward 3, Ala Ward 12, Aiyepe Ward 6 and Ogbo Ward 15. 

In her response, (Mrs) Bola Oshin appreciated everyone, particularly the Chairman who has contributed in one way or the other to the successful hosting of the event.

She subsequently performed a formal hand over to the most Senior Head of Department, the Director of Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation, Sanitarian Ademola Odunifa.
In attendance at the occasion were the Vice Chairman, Hon. Iretiolu Adenugba; Secretary to the Local Government; Hon. Olamide Fasola; Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. Sikiru Bello; Members of the Legislative Council; Heads of Department; and Members of Staff of Odogbolu Local Government.


Also at the event were representatives of the Body of Holgas led by the Director, Manpower, Training and Development, Local Government Service Commission, Ogun State, Mrs. Taiwo Akintomide; Mr. Wole Adeosun; Mrs. G.O.B. Bankole; Engr. Olanike Ogunbona; and Mrs. Oluwatoyin Labode.

Retired Heads of Local Government Administration were equally not left out.
These include Engr. Alli-Oke; Chief  Olukayode Ekundayo; Alhaji K.T. Ashiru; and Alhaji Gbenga Onayemi. A retired Director of General Services and Administration, Comrade Sade Odeyemi; and the Education Secretary, Odogbolu Local Government, Mr. Wasiu Saka, also attended the event.
