Ifo LG Celebrates 2023 Christmas Carol With Fanfare

Ifo  Local Government Christian Fellowship has celebrated her annual Christmas Carols of 12 lessons on Thursday, December 14th, at the Council Secretariat Chapel. 

The event featured readings from the Bible, hymns and songs, as well as reflections on the meaning of Christmas. 

Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of Ifo Local Government, Hon.  (Mrs.) Kikelomo Aridunnu Delano expressed her delight for witnessing the 2023 Christmas Carol celebration while praying for God's protection for all to witness the new year 2024 in peace. 

The Local Government boss read the first lesson of the Carol from the book of Genesis chapter 3 verse 1 - 19. 

    Hon Delano,  displaying  her prowess and affection for singing,   had earlier thrilled the congregation with melodious Christmas tunes to the amazement of the people.

The Head of  Local Government Administration,  Ifo Local Government, Mr Akinyemi Adeyanju, who read the second lesson from the book of Genesis chapter 22 verse 1-18, congratulated all the members of staff on the joyous occasion. 
However, the astute administrator, enjoined staffers of Ifo Local Government to be diligent and committed to their duties. 

Other dignitaries who took turn to read selected bible lessons at the occasion included the Vice Chairman, Hon. Dapo Adebesin, selected political office holders and Directors of some departments in the Local Government. 
Delivering the Christmas Carol message , titled, " Everlasting Joy", Bishop (Dr.) Adewale Daniel Adesanya, a retired Head Of Local Government Administration, culling  his sermon's text from the book of Philippians chapter 2 verse 1-2,  emphasised that the only person that could give people joy and happiness is Jesus Christ, the son of God. 
Dr. Adesanya appreciated the Executive Chairman, Ifo Local Government, Hon.  (Mrs.) Kikelomo Aridunu Delano for her immense efforts at delivering dividends of democracy to the people.  

He thereafter donated cartons of Tiles as his contribution to the ongoing construction of the Local Government Chapel. 

Pastor Wahab Emmanuel Sunday, the coordinator of the Ifo Local Government Christian Chapel, in a chat with journalists after the service expressed his appreciation to the management of the Local Government, all invited guests and the entire members of the Chapel
The programme is an annual event aimed at tracing the story of God's plan of salvation from the creation to the birth of Jesus Christ. 

In attendance were, the Leader of Legislative Council, Hon. Olarenwaju Adeleye, Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Kusimo Idris, the speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Olumo ably represented by Pastor Sodeke, Political office holders, all Directors and Head of Departments in the Local Government.
