IFO COUNCIL BOSS, DELANO EMPOWERS SCORES OF PEOPLE

In a bid to reduce the level of poverty amongst the people of Ifo Local Government, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Chief (Mrs.) Kikelomo Aridunnu Delano has distributed empowerment items worth several millions of Naira to the people across the Council Area on Friday 29th December, 2023. 
Empowerment items distributed at the colourful event held at the Council Secretariat, Ifo, include sewing machines for fashion designers, Hair dryers for Hair dressers, Caterers got Industrial Gas Cooker and Big Iron Pots. Other items include Welding Machines for Welders, Drilling Machines for tilers, Head pans, Trowel, Shovel, plum and rope for bricklayers. Carpenters got hammers and crow bars, while Aluminum Fabricators got Cutting Machines and Mechanics were equipped with Tools Box.
Hon. Delano in her speech said the gesture was part of her campaign promises, saying that  the effort is aimed at getting people of the Council Area out of poverty, self-reliant and make them employers of labour. The Council boss however, noted that the selection of the beneficiaries cut across the eleven wards of the Local Government. 

The Council boss also advised the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the items given to them. 

According to her, it is only through judicious use of the items that they can maximize the benefits of the gesture while  warning them that the items should not be sold. 
Some of the beneficiaries who were obviously joyful for the kind gesture of the Council boss, expressed their happiness and commended the government for providing them with working tools and equipments.
Meanwhile, the youths of Ososun Ward 8 led by Mr. Adesina Adesuyi seized the opportunity of the occasion to present an award of Excellence to the Chairman for her outstanding performance in office. 
Dignitaries at the event include the Vice Chairman, Hon. Oladapo Adebesin, the Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. Olanrewaju Adeleye, Supervisors, Councillors, other political Functionaries as well as principal career officers of the Local Government.
